STUDY THE SCRIPTURES DILIGENTLY (John 5:39)
Dear visitor, as a christian it is very important to know well the entire contents of the Bible. Let me cite first a text that I found as a preface in a catholic Bible translation:
How we should proceed in studying Scripture by St. Augustine
In all these books those who fear God and are of a meek and pious disposition seek the will of God.
And in pursuing this search the first rule to be observed is, as I said, to know these books, if not yet with the understanding, still to read them so as to commit them to memory, or at least so as not to remain wholly ignorant of them.
Next, those matters that are plainly laid down in them, whether rules of life or rules of faith, are to be searched into more carefully and more diligently; and the more of these a man discovers, the more capacious does his understanding become. For among the things that are plainly laid down in Scripture are to be found all matters that concern faith and the manner of life,--to wit, hope and love, of which I have spoken in the previous book.
After this, when we have made ourselves to a certain extent familiar with the language of Scripture, we may proceed to open up and investigate the obscure passages, and in doing so draw examples from the plainer expressions to throw light upon the more obscure, and use the evidence of passages about which there is no doubt to remove all hesitation in regard to the doubtful passages. And in this matter memory counts for a great deal; but if the memory be defective, no rules can supply the want.
(From Christian Doctrine 2 c.9)
In this text St. Augustine urges new christians to read the Bible entirely.
Does the volume of the Bible scare you off? Start with a small goal. First commit yourself to read the gospel of Mark. Then read one of the letters of the apostles. Then commit yourself to read the entire New Testament. Then read the entire Old Testament. Use your time well. Set aside a fixed hour daily. For better concentration read out aloud.
When you finish your first reading, commit yourself to read your Bible all over again and again. Each time that you finish reading a book in your Bible, write down the date so that you have a record of your reading efforts.
If you have a profound knowledge of your Bible, you will be able to discern well if the man or woman that is standing in front of you is talking the true word of God or if he or she is adding to it or not telling the whole truth. Also, you will be able to help out other christians better because when you will talk to them you will remember what you have read and will be able to give them biblically based advice.

COMPLETE TESTIMONY IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER
THIS TESTIMONY IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION !
You should know that God is tired of people who "know" that there is a God and who say that they believe in Him, but who don't know who He really is and who don't give Him the respect he deserves. And you should know that He wants to wake you up from your routine. He wants to grab your undivided attention:
13 The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men."
14 " Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder ; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish."
(Isaiah 29:13-14)

REPENT, FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS NEAR.
When the Lord Jesus began to preach, he said:
Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near. (Matthew 4:17)
For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners. (Matthew 9:13)
Whoever comes to me I will never drive away. (John 6:37)
After the Lord Jesus died and was raised, the apostles talked like this:
Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.
And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit... (Acts 2:38)
Save yourselves from this corrupt generation. (Acts 2:40)
We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.
We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:20)
So I implore you:
RECONCILE TO GOD NOW
IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS
